08/07/2004 Pepinieres europeennes pour jeunes artistes relaunches the residency programme Artists in Context/ Artistes contre l'exclusion (ACE5): September 2004 - July 2005
Deadline for application is July 24, 2004.

The Pepinieres europeennes pour jeunes artistes organise for the 5th time the Artists in context - Artistes contre l'exclusion programme, supported by the European Commission within the framework of the European Voluntary Service.

This programme, dedicated to artists from 18 to 25 years old, is designed to address the desire of emerging artists, to invent new forms of expression and to question the place of the artist in our society.

In this programme, the numerous places of residency are not held within conventional contexts of contemporary creation. They include places such as hospitals, social centres, marginalized urban zones or isolated rural zones. Artist-volunteers can consider these places as new arenas for exploration and experimentation.

This year, 15 artists will be hosted in 13 residencies of 8 European countries. The residencies will take place between September 2004 and July 2005.

The applications must be sent before July 24, 2004.
