ECUMEST has moved to a new office. We enthusiastically enter 2007 in a space designed by Liste Noire, located in Lipscani, the historical quarter of Bucharest that shelters more and more contemporary cultural initiatives. Moving on to a new office represented a project in itself by the end of 2006 and it set the grounds for the ECUMEST programs to be launched in 2007. The On-The-Move/ECUMEST training of trainers. The new training seminar organised by On-The-Move/ECUMEST in Bucharest on October 27, 2006 brought together participants from the Czech Republic, Moldova and Romania. Coming from a wide range of backgrounds – such as performing and visual arts, as well as cultural studies or sociology –, artists or cultural operators from both private and public institutions, the participants had a common interest in mobility and cultural cooperation in the age of digital spaces.

The first working meeting of the project 'Culture for structural development'. From 16 to 18 September, ECUMEST participates in Ruse, Bulgaria, to the development meeting of the project 'Culture for structural development', aiming at advocating culture as an agent of regional development in South East Europe and including it more strongly in EU policies.
Following its participation to the process launched by the Berlin Conference for European Cultural Policy (November 2004), ECUMEST is one of the regional partners of this project together with AltArt Foundation (Cluj) and 'A Soul for Europe' initiative (Berlin), as well as CULT.BG Foundation (Sofia).

Training of trainers' seminar: Mobility and cultural co-operation in the age of digital spaces. Following successful training sessions on mobility, intercultural competence, cultural co-operation in the age of digital spaces led by Corina Suteu in 2005, three of the trainees of the programme are now given a space to develop new thoughts and insights into these issues by developing their own training format. Sanna Kangasluoma (FI), Cristina Farinha (PT) and Aleksandra Uzelac (HR) will deliver on October 27 in Bucharest a series of free training sessions focusing on issues related to digital cultural content and virtual mobility, drivers and barriers for mobility, and cultural networks as real or virtual pathways to cultural co-operation.
