Developed between 2002-2007, ARCult aimed to provide to the Romanian cultural sector specialised assistance (information, action research, consultancy) in the field of cultural policies and legislation, to facilitate the communication and cooperation within the sector and to contribute to an improvement of the framework within which the sector is functioning, through three main directions:

Dissemination of information: ARCult messenger
News and events from all the fields mentioned above distributed from 2002 to 2005 to the Romanian cultural sector or internationally, in English, when the information was widely relevant, contributing to a better information of cultural organisations, institutions and artists, as well as to bigger transparency of decision and of the public administration in the field.

The legislative database: Legal framework for culture in Romania
Built in order to respond to a specific need of information in the cultural field, this database allows the consultation of legislative acts relevant to the cultural field, as well as of a series of juridical sectoral guides for the priority areas of interest. Relevant sectoral guides are available in English. Last update: 2005.

Thematic analyses & debates: The ARCult Forum
A process of analysis, proposals and debates aiming at contributing to the design of a long term cultural strategy in Romania, proposing sectoral and thematic meetings with the goal to facilitate a systematic dialogue between the indepedent cultural sector, the decision-makers and cultural legislators.
